we’re looking for a 2 bed bungalow within 45 mins of Eye, Suffolk with a medium to large private garden. We love our current home, but the 90-mile commute for work is getting too much! We are looking for a mutual exchange to move closer to work and family. Will work on a multiswap if this helps. Location: Within a 45-minute drive of Eye, Suffolk. Closer to the coast preferred, but open to any location in this radius. Age-restricted / quiet developments are a plus. Rural remote locations are not a problem and preferred. Property Requirements: Type: 2-bedroom bungalow with parking. Bedrooms: Must fit a king-size bed and a small double, plus furniture. Heating: No oil or night storage heaters. (Air Source Heat Pump highly preferred). Condition: Good, move-in condition. Clean and undamaged (no major DIY needed). Decor style doesn't matter. Acoustics: Good sound insulation (walls/windows) in a quiet neighborhood (preferably no immediate dogs or very young children due to cat/sensory needs). Garden (Essential): Medium, large or very large, private and fully secure with high fencing (not overlooked by passers-by). Needs good sunlight for growing food/vegetables and space for a pond. (A fully shaded/tree-heavy garden won't work). Bathroom & Kitchen: Bathroom: Walk-in shower or wet room ONLY due to physical medical needs (strictly NO baths). Toilets: Must have 2 toilets (or space/potential to adapt and add a 2nd toilet). Kitchen: Essential to have space for a dishwasher (use cupboard space, perhaps), a washing machine and a conventional sized tall standing fridge-freezer (or space for washer/dryer in a utility/outhouse/shed).
